지원 자격: 캘리포니아에 거주하는 중고생(Youth), 대학생(College), 대학원생 (Graduate)
지원 방법: 뉴스타 홈페이지를 통한 신청
Guidelines for New Star Scholarship Foundation
Qualifications: High school students, college students, and graduates. Applicants must be permanent California Residents.
Submission of application: Applications can be viewed at New Star Homepage.
선발 방법과 기준
장학생 선발에는 남문기 회장을 비롯하여 각 6개 지사의 지사장님 그리고 뉴스타 장학재단 사무국장으로 심사위원단을 구성합니다.
Applications will be reviewed by CEO, Chris Moonkey Nam, Vice President, and six different branch officers.
심사 기준으로는,
G.P.A : 학업 성취도를 평가 합니다.
Community Service : 사회 봉사 활동 사항입니다. 소속 커뮤니티를 위한 봉사 정신을 평가합니다.
Leadership : 각종 학교 서클이나 학생회 활동을 통해서 형성되는 리더십을 평가합니다.
Essay : 자기 자신에 대한 정직한 소개와 명확한 비전의 견고함을 평가합니다.
Recommendation Letter : 각종 단체장, 저명 인사에게 받은 추천서로 인격을 평가합니다.
* 심사시에 어려운 가정 형편과 장애 여부를 고려해서 선발합니다.
Criteria:
G.P.A : Grade received from total courses.
Community Service : Review types of community work and services performed by applicants.
Leadership : Developing and building leadership involving curricular activities.
Essay : Personal essay in terms of his/her background, achievements, and goals.
Recommendation Letter : Recommended by professors and voluntary services.
* Included fields: Eligibility for disability and low income family.
